#1 Peppers Ridge Winery

Known for its back woods small town charm and wine made from all types of fruit.  It is a place to gather with friends, go to a painting class or even get married.  It is located in southern Spencer County near between Reo and Rockport, Indiana, just north of highway 66. They have a list of 28 wines to select from.

#2 Monkey Hollow Winery

Monkey Hollow Winery has three locations; it's main winery in Saint Meinrad, IN, then two tasting rooms one in Santa Claus, IN and one in Ferdinand, IN.  All three places serve their entire wine list.  They have some fruit wines but also have dry wines as well.

Started in 1985 and to this day is a family owned business in Nashville, IN.  Their goal is to provide high quality local wines, a relaxed atmosphere and an educational and enjoyable experience.  They offer complimentary daily tastings of a variety of dry, semi-sweet and dessert wines made from grapes and berries.  Their newest wine is called Chateau Gnaw Bone Cordials that has a higher alcohol content and pairs well with desserts.

A family owned winery that started as a hobby in 1994, then officially opened for business for the public in 2002.  It located on 37-acres in the Vincennes, Indiana area.  Serves Dry White Wines,  Dry Red wines and sweet wines.  Open daily.

Located in Bristow, Perry County, Indiana and offers four different types of wines; Fruit Garten, Winzerwald Blend, Germn Heritage and Premium.  Winzerwald Winery (German for vintners of the forest) celebrates the owners' German heritage and the German and Swiss heritage of the area by offering unique German and Swiss-style wines, gifts, festivals, educational tours and fun.

Ertel Cellars Winery is a family owned winery located on 200 acres near Batesville Indiana.  Not only is Ertel Cellars a winery but it is also a restaurant that is open everyday but Monday and Tuesday for lunch and dinner.  The first Friday of every month they have a seafood buffet for dinner where reservations are highly recommended.  They have wines from Dry Red and White to sweet fruit it is a place to check out if you are ever near Batesville.

This winery is located in Rising Son, Indiana in a 105 year old home. The Fickert's family lives in the house where the winery is located.  If you want a special label for a special occasion they will make it and put it on your favorite wine.  They have dry wines, semi-sweet blends and sweet wines.

Butler Winery and vineyards of Bloomington, Indiana is the 4th oldest winery in the state.  They started producing wines in 1983 and have 3 locations.  The vineyard and 2 other tasting rooms.  It is family owned and operated at all 3 locations.  Their wine list has wines in 4 categories; Dry wines, Semi-Sweet Wines, Sweet & Fruit Wines and Specialty Wines.

One of Indiana's newest wineries opened early in 2017 in Bryant, Indiana.  Just 40 miles from Muncie and Fort Wayne makes it a short drive to get to country side.  Open most weekends for you try their 13 different kinds of wine ranging from dry to sweet with more wines being added all the time.

#11 French Lick Winery

Owners John and Kim Doty planed the vineyard in 1998 on a Hoosier Homestead Farm (Meaning it had been owned by the same family for at least 100 years).  The building that houses their winery, cafe and gift show is part of the old Kimball Piano factory in West Baden Springs.  Here you can get a sampling of 18 grape and fruit wines from dry to sweet. While at the cafe you can enjoy looking int the production area while you eat good food and drink your favorite beverage.

Located in Birdseye, Indiana right off of Patoka Lake.  Opened their doors on June 3, 2016 with 7 wines and have grown to 23 different types to please most people.  From Dry wines to Sweet wines.  But one of the coolest parts of this winery is that you can also stay there over night in a 2-story Silo Sweet.

Turtle Run Winery in Corydon, Indiana bought their land to start Turtle Run in 1997.  Owners Jim and Laura still run the winery today.  Jim is the one that makes the wine and you can find him at the bar in the winery on most days.  They offer four varieties of wines; Dry Red, Dry White, Sweet Red and Sweet White and you can taste them daily from noon to 6p,m. in the bar at the winery.

Hedgegrove Meadery and Winery located in Cynthiana, Indiana makes you ask what does Honey, Wine and Beer (Mead) have in common.  More than you would think.  This Meadery and Winery started out with hives of honey bees.  Then they discovered what makes the best honey also makes the best Wine and Mead.  This place makes everyone happy.  Please give them time they were hit by a tornado on March 1 of 2017 and are in the process of rebuilding.

#16 Huber Winery and Vineyard

The farm started in 1832 with 80 acres of land and apple and peach trees.  To today where the 7th generation of Huber's are running the farm and own over 600 acres of land.  In 1976 applied for and received their winery permit.  They have over 30 brands of wine.  Even though wine is their main income they are still a very active farm making their own chesse and ice cream as well.  While at on the farm take time to enjoy lunch at the Starlight Cafe, visit the Family Farm Park (petting zoo), or step into the Ice Cream and Cheese Shop to experience all Huber's has to offer.

#17 Country Moon Winery

Country Moon Winery is located in Noblesville, Indiana.  Open Saturday from 1 to 7pm.  If you can not make on a Saturday you can make a reservation.  It is a place that you can rent to hold a party or outing for 4 to 40 people.  They have 5 different wines that you can choose from.
