Farming is one of the most dangerous professions in the nation, accounting for around 25 deaths per 100,000 workers. Casualties are mostly due to overturned tractors, but OSHA also blames machinery, chemicals, grain bins, handling livestock, heat, and some other factors for the high death toll.
