If it wasn’t for the delightful Jaime King, this 2016 release wouldn’t make the grade, but she’s a perky pleasure. King stars as a Christmas curmudgeon who, after a chance encounter at the mall food court, enters a partnership with a fellow holiday hater. They stage a fake relationship to increase his odds of making partner at his family-focused firm that doesn’t promote the unwed. She does it to get back at her cheating ex-husband. Over time, despite their utter lack of chemistry, they find love and the spirit of Christmas, because of course. Now, if anyone can tell us why King’s neck is strategically covered in every single scene, that would be a real Christmas miracle.
