What Brand has the Best Refillable Water Bottle?

Over the course of the last couple years, water bottle brands have been competing to see which company can create the best insulated and transportable cup for their customers. Refillable water bottles are becoming a hot item on the market because people are trying to reduce the amount of plastic bottles in the world. Hydro Flask, Yeti, and Swell have been deemed the top three water bottle brands in my eyes. I compared all three water bottles by looking at multiple different components of the brands bottle. I looked at the style of the bottle, color options, accessory options, and brand reliability. Each type of bottle has special qualities that help them stand out compared to other brands out there. Also, I did an ice test with all three bottles. I put 5 ice cubes in each bottle and let them sit for 12 hours and then I checked to see which one had the most ice left after the time ran out.

Hydro Flask shows superiority over the other two brands because of their large variety of colors, wide mouth piece, lifetime warranty and lid variations. The large variety of colors allows each person to choose what color suits them best. The wide mouth piece allows easy access for washing and placing ice cubes in the bottle. Just in case you drop the bottle, Hydro Flask offers a lifetime warranty, which makes the purchase seem much more reasonable. Hydro Flask sells a screw on lid, a straw lid, a “coffee” lid and many more options to best suit each individual.

In a close second is Yeti because of their high value name, dishwasher safe design, and cup accessories. Yeti has worked hard to build up a reputable brand name and having good reviews goes a long way in a customer’s eyes. Being able to put a Yeti in dishwasher is a big selling point because it is easier and less time consuming! Yeti brand has also created many accessories for their cups, such as a handle, straw lid, and screw on lid.

The Swell water bottle got ranked third because of its smaller neck and mouth piece, plus it only has one lid option. Having a smaller neck to the bottle makes it harder to put ice in with the drink. Also, both of the other brands offer multiple choices for lids, so Swell is unable to compete in that area. While Swell seems to be lacking lots of components that the other two brands have, Swell actually has the most color and pattern options, is the only brand that offers different colored lids, and is triple walled rather than double walled. Since the Swell has triple wall insulation, it can hold heat or cold a tad bit longer than Hydro Flasks and Yeti’s can.

All three brands offer multiple different sizes, so that is never an issue—there is a size for everyone! Overall, these three water bottles are all trending and are able to keep your drink warm or cold for a long period of time. So at the end of the day pick which one you like best, but my favorite is the Hydro Flasks!

#1 Hydro Flask

Hydro Flask's have the biggest variety in colors and accessories for the water bottle. The brand also has provided the buyer with lifetime warranty. This is the smartest purchase because you can get a good quality water bottle without spending too much money.

#2 Yeti

Yeti has a great brand reputation. Their product holds up nicely, is dishwasher safe, and just recently came out with color options. They have a smaller selection of colors and accessories, but is still right up there with Hydro Flask for being the best refillable water bottle.

#7 Homitt

Homitt is the Amazon brand that is comparable to the tumblers that Hydro Flask and Yeti sell. The Ozark Trail and Homitt brands are very comparable when it comes to insulating heat and cold. They both hold ice for awhile, but tend to melt faster than one of the higher rated brands.

#8 Gatorade

Gatorade bottles are a favorite among athletes. These bottles squirt water out easily and can be tossed around without breaking. The only downfall to Gatorade bottles is that they are not insulated, so they "sweat" a lot and don't keep drinks cold for that long.

#10 Powerade

Powerade bottles have a place for your hand to grip to make it easier to hold. The bottle itself doesn’t squirt water quite as well as Gatorade bottles do. This bottle is also one that athletes tend to use a lot. Like the Gatorade and Camelbak bottles, the Powerade bottle does not hold cold drinks for very long.
