A tanker truck, which can also be known as a water tender, is a specialist fire appliance with the primary purpose of transporting large amounts of water to the fire area to make it available for extinguishing operations.  This truck is 6 Tanker 4 it is used by the Luce Fire Territory, in Spencer County, to get water to fires but it also can drive through fields to put fires out on its own.

#2 The PIG

The PIG has a head that measures 10.5 inches long and weighs 8 lbs.  It has 2 working ends- the flat head and pick-head axe, It is the most versatile tool on the fire ground. For firefighters, this tool is used most often for roof ventilations, forcible entry, saving your own, breaching walls.

Pike poles are long poles with a metal hook on the end. It is used by firefighters to search behind walls and ceilings for fire and to ventilate structures by breaking windows and walls. It is also used in water rescues to grab people as they swim by.

This is a Fire Engine/pumper.  This truck can carry water as well as pump it out onto a fire.  This is 6 Engine 2 for Luce Fire Territory, in Spencer County, Indiana.  This truck rolls for any fire and some accidents.  It can hold 7 fire fighters in full turn out gear and have several sizes of house and tools on board.

#6 Rescue Truck

This is a Rescue truck.  It is 6 Rescue 6 for Luce Fire Territory and it goes to almost all calls.  It it the truck with all the medical equipment.  It also has blankets, tarps, back boards, hand tools, and work lights.  You will also see this truck at all accidents and fires.  It really is the truck that does it all even carries water.

#7 Halligan Bar

he Pro-Bar is 30" long and is Drop Forged, One Piece Construction of alloy steel. The Pro-Bar (also called a Halligan bar, Halligan tool or simply Halligan) is a special tool commonly used in the fire and rescue service. It was designed by and named after Hugh Halligan, a First Deputy Fire Commissioner in the New York City Fire Department. The Halligan is a multipurpose prying tool consisting of a claw (or fork), a blade (or adz), and a pick, which is especially useful in quickly breaking through many types of locked doors. The adz (An edge tool used to cut and shape wood) or fork end of the tool can be used to break in through an outward swinging door by forcing the tool between the (A swinging or sliding barrier that will close the entrance to a room or building or vehicle) door and doorjamb and prying the two apart. Along with the K-tool and the adz or fork end a lock can easily be pulled. There are many other uses of the Halligan tool, including vehicle rescue and opening of walls. A Halligan bar and an axe can be joined together to form what is known as a married set, or set of irons.

#9 LDH – Double Jacket Rubber Hose

LDH - Double Jacket Rubber Hose  This is a large rubber hose that that comes from in size 4" x25' to 5"x100'.  This hose main job is to go from hydrant to truck, pond to truck, or truck to truck to get water into the main pumping truck to get water on the fire with out moving the tuck.

#10 Hard suction Hose

This would be a Hard suction Hose it comes in 1 1/2" x 10' to 6" x 10' that is added to the end of a regular hose to suck clean water out of a standing portable pond or any body of clean water so that the hose will not collapse while suction is applied to get water into the truck.

#11 Double Jacket Fire Hose

This would be a double jacket fire hose that comes in 1 1/2" x 25' up to 3"x100'.  This would be the type of hose that a fire fighter is used to carrying full of water into a burning house or building it is the one that is used almost every time there is water cumming off the the truck to put a fire out.

#12 Turn Out Gear

Turn Out Gear.  One of the most important pieces of equipment for a fire fighter.  It is worn to most if not all calls, fires, medical and accidents.  It is made up a double layer of pants, double layer jacket, boots (either leather or rubber), gloves for fires, different pair of gloves for accidents and a different pair for medical calls.  There is also a hood that goes under their helmet to protect neck, ears, and face.  Last but not least is the helmet to protect the fire fighters head.

A hook ladder is a type of ladder that can be attached to a window sill or similar ledge by the use of a hooked extending bill with serrations on the other side. The ladder was made t reach buildings  with enclosed alleys. (laying on the ground in picture)
